Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, including hepatologists and gastroenterologists; nurse practitioners; nurses; and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with PBC.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to increase learners’ knowledge and competence in partnering with patients to create individualized PBC care plans that focus on improving health and quality of life outcomes.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Appropriately assess our patients in order to recognize the significant impact of PBC symptoms on patient quality of life

  • Describe the effect of therapy, including new agents, on PBC symptoms

  • Modify PBC treatment plans based on patient concerns and preferences
