Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with resectable melanoma. 

Target Audience
This educational program is intended for medical oncologists, dermatologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician associates, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with melanoma. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate the clinical rationale for and evidence supporting the use of immunotherapy in early-stage melanoma, with a focus on neo/adjuvant immunotherapy for stage IIB/C disease
  • Apply current guidelines, indications, and clinical trial evidence to develop individualized treatment plans for the use of neo/adjuvant immunotherapy for stage IIB/C melanoma, with consideration for recurrence prevention, outcome improvement, and management of immune-related adverse events
  • Integrate recommended strategies to improve the multidisciplinary care of patients with early-stage melanoma who are eligible for immunotherapy, including multidisciplinary teams for treatment selection and management of immune-related adverse events
  • Use shared decision-making and effective communication approaches and resources to support patient engagement in care and to more effectively design and implement personalized treatment plans that align with patients' unique goals and preferences
  • Identify patients with early-stage melanoma who are eligible for enrollment on clinical trials investigating immunotherapy-based regimens
