Instructions

This Interactive Decision Support Tool provides treatment recommendations based on the specific characteristics you enter. It is recommended that you have as much information as possible about your patient available before you begin. To assist you in gathering this information, we have developed a PDF consultation checklist that you can print and fill out with your oncologist.

You will be prompted to provide specific information such as your disease stage, tumor histology, molecular testing results (if appropriate), tumor PD-L1 expression level, presence of brain metastases, previous systemic treatment (if appropriate), age, overall fitness (performance status), and your desired outcome with therapy.

Clicking on your selections will prompt the next question to appear. Your choices can be changed at any time simply by clicking on the [change] icon by your current answer and selecting a new choice. Additional information on each variable/characteristic and why it is important for making treatment decisions for people with advanced NSCLC is available by clicking on the [i] icon after each selection.

When all of your characteristics are entered, you will be asked to select the intended treatment option your care team has suggested (if that decision has been made). Once that information is entered, you can click on Submit Patient Case to view the expert recommendations.

The Expert Insight screen includes an expandable Additional Considerations section that provides information on other variables and characteristics to consider when making treatment choices, but which are not included as characteristics in this tool.

To print the expert choices along with a summary of your disease characteristics and selected therapy you entered, click on Case Summary.

After completing the Clinical Implications section, which gives you an opportunity to provide feedback on your experience with your care team and whether the Expert Insight options are the same as the management choice your oncologist selected, you can click on Start New Case to begin again.
