History

A 42-year-old mother of 3 children with a long history of bipolar disorder was receiving lamotrigine 150 mg, aripiprazole 10 mg, and temazepam 30 mg.

Description of the current presentation

The patient was hospitalized for a mixed bipolar episode and was given several IM doses of haloperidol. She then was prescribed quetiapine for insomnia and racing thoughts. She also was prescribed benztropine after developing a dystonic reaction.
